Megan Rivera joined the UGA Small Business Development Center in Rome as a business consultant in 2025. She brings more than a decade of leadership experience in the hospitality industry and previously operated her own small business for eight years.
Megan specializes in customer experience strategy, marketing and branding, storytelling, sales strategy, business reinvention, strategic pivoting, luxury service standards and client retention. Her deep understanding of both high-touch service and scalable growth makes her a valuable resource for entrepreneurs at every stage.
As a retired military spouse, Megan has dedicated significant time to mentoring and advising fellow military spouses in launching their own businesses. In 2025, she was recognized by the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association as one of the state’s Sales and Marketing Champions for her outstanding contributions to the industry.
