Kendra Houghton is the Outreach Specialist for the UGA Small Business Development Center at Georgia Southern University. In this role, she connects entrepreneurs, small business owners and community partners with training, research-based tools, and one-on-one consulting support that helps businesses launch, grow, and adapt.

Kendra brings a diverse background in marketing, small business ownership, community development and leadership. She founded and later sold a full-service marketing firm, giving her firsthand insights into the realities of starting and growing a business. Through her work with companies, nonprofits, and local initiatives, she is passionate about equipping business owners with practical strategies, clear information, and the confidence they need to move their business - and their communities - forward.
