Beth Melnik is the former associate state director for the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center. She has returned to the SBDC in a part-time capacity to conduct needs assessments for Georgia’s small businesses, coordinates the unit’s strategic planning process and evaluates the economic impact of SBDC services.
Beth has served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) and chaired the Associate State Director’s Work Group for nearly five years. Additionally, she served on the ASBDC Accreditation Committee from 2008-2021, including 3 years as Vice-Chair and 4 years as Chair. In 2012, she was presented with the University of Georgia’s Walter Barnard Hill Award for distinguished achievement in public service and outreach.

The UGA SBDC is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
