Are you ready to turn the key and unlock the capital your small business needs to thrive?

This course is designed specifically for small business owners and entrepreneurs seeking to understand and access various funding options.

The course will discuss the ins and outs of the different types of capital, including SBA-guaranteed loans, traditional bank loans, non-traditional funding sources, equity, and little-known specialty lending programs, and weigh the pros and cons of each.

The course will also highlight the financial management strategies that help owners think like a lender and ensure their business is lender-ready.

  • Evaluate the various types of financing available for small businesses
  • Determine the advantages and disadvantages of the different forms of capital as it relates to your business
  • Implement financial management best practices
  • Create the BIG three financial statements and analyze them from a lender’s perspective

Liz Overstreet

Liz Overstreet is a Business Advisor serving three offices in the Southern Coastal Region: the UGA SBDC in Savannah, the UGA SBDC in Brunswick and the UGA SBDC at Georgia Southern University. She specializes in assisting clients gain access to capital through the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) program, and she also provides technical assistance in legally establishing a business, establishing accounting systems, creating financial projections, and applying for business loans or funding. Liz has a BBA from the University of Georgia, and she earned her MBA from Georgia Southern University.
