Atlanta’s Henri’s Bakery & Deli finds recipe for growth with UGA SBDC support

Founded in 1929 by Henri Fiscus, Henri’s Bakery & Deli has been a beloved Atlanta institution for generations. Today, Anthony DiNardo, Fiscus’s great-grandson, is leading the business into a new era of growth and opportunity thanks in part to the guidance of the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (UGA SBDC).

When DiNardo purchased the business from family members eight years ago, he faced a major operational hurdle: the building housing Henri’s production kitchen had been sold. He needed to find and develop two new facilities fast.

Today, Henri’s has since expanded to seven locations across Atlanta, with plans to continue growing across North Georgia. For DiNardo, the most rewarding part is creating spaces where people come together over great food – and developing the next generation of leaders within his team.

"When things come up or problems arise, I know I can always reach out to the University of Georgia SBDC to help make what we hope are good decisions in our business as we move forward.”
