In September 2020, Susan Paz McBrayer became a part of the UGA SBDC in Albany team. Before her role at the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center, she had accumulated significant experience in management and finance within the realms of retail banking, consumer lending, and wealth management. Over a span of more than 20 years, Susan contributed her expertise to wealth planning, asset management, and the management of retail banking operations.
As a first-generation Cuban American, Susan is bilingual in English and Spanish. Leveraging her extensive background in relationship management, she takes pleasure in collaborating with small businesses to achieve their funding and strategic planning objectives.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Valdosta State University and is a proud UGA alum, embodying the spirit of the Bulldog community. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Florida Trust School. Susan had the distinction of being named UGA SBDC’s Rookie of the Year in 2022.
