Before joining the UGA SBDC in 1992, Darrel Hulsey previously worked for a large commercial bank serving in various lending and management positions. He also has experience as an independent financial consultant performing acquisition/merger, loan portfolio and credit system analysis for banks.
As director of the UGA SBDC International Trade Center, Darrel works extensively in international trade financing, trade risk mitigation, loan proposal preparation, financial analysis, business evaluations and alternative financing. He is also a Certified Global Business Professional.
Darrel was recognized by the UGA SBDC as Consultant of the Year. Additionally, he was awarded the Georgia State Star for consulting and honored with the Distinguished Service Award by the national organization, America’s Small Business Development Centers.
