Peter Williams is a senior business consultant at the UGA SBDC in Macon. With his assistance, Peter's clients have successfully obtained over $100 million in capital from banks and investors. He has presented educational workshops to state and national audiences on small business acquisitions, and on LinkedIn strategy.
Peter's prior experience includes owning a highly successful merger and acquisition advisory firm, serving as CFO of a venture capital-backed start-up, and as a principal of a private equity investment firm. He holds an MBA from Emory University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Darrell Byrd is Vice-President SBA Division Cadence Bank. He is a lifelong resident of the Augusta area. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, with over 20 years focused on business banking. Darrell takes excellent care of his clients, helping them achieve their goals of owning and growing their own businesses. They appreciate his personal touch, positivity, and perseverance.
In addition to helping his small business neighbors, Darrell recognizes the importance of giving back to his community. He has served on several local boards including the Columbia County Civil Service Commission, Exchange Club of Columbia County, and Leadership Columbia County. He has been an active volunteer with the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, the Augusta Training Shop, and the Augusta Sports Council." Currently Darrell serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteer in the Augusta Judicial Circuit.
