When Dawn McCullar and Brooke Woods were looking for funding to open Yollah Social Kitchen + Garden, a banker recommended they turn to UGA SBDC for assistance.
Lisa Rackley, area director at UGA SBDC in Macon, worked with them to put together the business plan and financial projections needed to secure a small business loan.
They were able to secure funding and since opening in 2021, Yollah has become a local favorite in the Macon community, in many ways thanks to the welcoming atmosphere.
“We try to make this an extension of our home,” said McCullar. “Every day here, you meet a new person, there is a new celebration. It’s a party. It’s hard work and it’s long hours, but it is so much fun. And it is so rewarding.”
McCullar continues to keep close contact with the UGA SBDC as her business continue to grow.
