  • Understand the purpose and components of a Strategic Plan and how it differs from a Business Plan.
  • Define your Mission, Vision, and Core Values to guide decision-making and culture.
  • Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and maintain accountability.
  • Conduct a SWOT Analysis to evaluate internal strengths and weaknesses, and external opportunities and threats.
  • Set Long-Term Goals and Quarterly Objectives with actionable steps to achieve them.
  • Apply practical tools for monitoring performance and adjusting strategies to stay on track.

PROGRAM INSTRUCTORS

Joe Zirkel

Joe Zirkel is a Business Consultant at UGA SBDC, Kennesaw State University, with 25+ years of diverse small business expertise. His journey commenced as an auditor in New York, evolving into VP roles in operations, finance, and small business lending in Atlanta. A Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Joe holds an EMBA from Kennesaw State University and a BA in Accounting from Hofstra University. His multifaceted experience spans accounting, manufacturing, operations, and lending, enriching his capacity to guide businesses effectively. With a solid educational foundation and hands-on industry acumen, Joe excels in driving growth and profitability for small enterprises.
