Eric Frickey

Eric Frickey is a senior business consultant for UGA SBDC in Augusta and has been a valued member of the team for over 10 years. Previously, Eric's background involved licensing federally funded technologies to small businesses, securing patent protection, commercial marketing and negotiating patent and copyright licenses. With a strong depth of knowledge for business banking, Eric also has considerable experience with loan applications. He is the rockstar of the office when it comes to Quick Books and financial management. Eric has his BA in Finance, BS in Chemistry, and MBA in Management. 

Ryan Swanson

Ryan Swanson comes to the UGA SBDC after 20+ years in Venture Capital and Private Equity. For 15 years Ryan was a Partner and COO of a family office that focused on sustainable business. He has a wide range of experience from serving as the CFO of an Icelandic geothermal power company, COO of a regenerative agriculture company in Southwest Vermont, to founder and President of a packaged food company in Georgia. Ryan started his career with Deutsche Bank as an analyst for an early-stage venture fund. Ryan received a bachelor’s degree in Management and an MBA in accounting from Georgia Tech. 

Thomas Credle

Thomas Credle is a Business Consultant at the UGA SBDC in Columbus. He has extensive experience in banking and finance having served as a retail banking manager, credit analyst, commercial underwriter, commercial lender, business services manager, and vice president of commercial lending. Furthermore, he has experience working with several different types of lending intuitions including local, regional, and national banks as well as credit unions.

Thomas also brings experience with multiple types of capital ranging from debt, mezzanine, private equity, municipal bond, and nonrecourse financing & securitization, having worked as the CFO of a multi-state hotel developer and operator.
