A team of experts from the UGA Food Science program, The Georgia Department of Agriculture, the Small Business Development Center, and other entities come together to provide comprehensive assistance tailored to the specific needs of food businesses. Support from Georgia AIM, the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission, and the Golden Triangle allow this class to be offered at a reduced rate. Assistance includes: Product & Process Development Label & Nutritional Facts Development Information on Facility Licensing and Regulatory Compliance Product Classification and Process Approvals Resources for Co-packing facilities Packaging design and Sensory Testing Ingredient Technology and Functionality Food Safety and Sanitation.

Rob Martin is the Entrepreneur Outreach Specialist for Southwest GA. He has been with the SBDC for 9 years and has served as a Business Consultant, Area Director and now as the Entrepreneur Outreach Specialist.
Previously, he worked for multiple large corporations and brings with him a rich background of leadership experiences ranging from manufacturing, sales and distribution to hospitality, culinary and operations management.
