ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Most lenders examine business loans through an extensive process, knowing how to set your business up for success is key.

The process could include a complete review of the business financial statements (past and present), projected financial statements, the business owner(s)/guarantor(s) financial position, personal credit reports, and loan collateral evaluation. By the end of this session, the participants will understand the business loan process, how their personal credit and financial position is viewed by the lenders, how business loans are structured, and understanding of other business loan related items like term sheets, debt service coverage, etc.

Susan McBrayer

Susan Paz McBrayer is a business consultant with the UGA SBDC in Albany. Before joining the SBDC, she had accumulated significant experience in management and finance within the realms of retail banking, consumer lending, and wealth management. Over a span of more than 20 years, Susan contributed her expertise to wealth planning, asset management, and the management of retail banking operations. As a first-generation Cuban American, Susan is bilingual in English and Spanish. Leveraging her extensive background in relationship management, she takes pleasure in collaborating with small businesses to achieve their funding and strategic planning objectives.

Troy Vollenweider

Troy Vollenweider is a Business Consultant for the UGA SBDC at the University of West Georgia. He has extensive experience from previously held financial and operational positions in commercial banking, small business management and healthcare administration. His commercial banking background covers almost 15 years of commercial lending, real estate lending, and mortgage warehousing. Troy's small business management experience includes work in real estate/property management with traditional and government-subsidized housing.
