You’ll learn what you need to start a business in Georgia, from assessing the feasibility of your idea to marketing, finding financing, building a team, and operating legally. You’ll leave with actionable steps, essential tools, and resources to start your business on a strong foundation. Small businesses are the backbone of America; this class will help you start yours.

PROGRAM INSTRUCTORS

Troy Vollenweider

Troy Vollenweider is a Business Consultant for the UGA SBDC at the University of West Georgia. He has extensive experience from previously held financial and operational positions in commercial banking, small business management and healthcare administration. His commercial banking background covers almost 15 years of commercial lending, real estate lending, and mortgage warehousing. Troy's small business management experience includes work in real estate/property management with traditional and government-subsidized housing.

This program is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and is supported by federal taxpayer funds. By registering, you certify that you are legally authorized to receive services funded by U.S. taxpayer dollars, in accordance with applicable federal law and regulations.
