ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Learn how to manage your numbers with ease with QuickBooks Online!

This session will provide you with the information necessary to ensure that you are running the business successfully by managing your numbers. Financial statements are not just another requirement for tax purposes. These reports are key to a successful business operation. Learn how to use QuickBooks to your advantage and ensure that you are being profitable, reduce time by ensuring that you understand how to navigate the program, how to save time by understanding how to setup account and sub account in the chart of accounts, how create estimates, invoices, sales receipts. How to set up Sales and Use Tax, track and receive payments, write checks, and do journal entries. Understand why it is important to do a bank reconciliation and how to complete it in QBO.

  • Understand the key components of navigating the Dashboard with efficiency.
  • save time by connecting your bank accounts to QuickBooks and reviewing transactions prior to recording them in your accounting software.
  • Understand how tracking sales and invoices can help your cashflow and increase your profitability by ensuring you are pricing for profit, collecting your cash within the agreed upon timeframe and identifying bestselling items for your business.
  • Identify the key differences between payroll employees and an independent contractor and how to properly record these transactions in QBO.
  • Navigate the Chart of Accounts and understand how to set up, edit and navigate accounts in the chart of accounts.
  • Save time by using the estimate and invoicing feature in QBO, set up sales tax, and run sales tax reports, write checks, and record journal entries in QBO.

Nora Guzman

Nora Guzman serves as a business advisor for the UGA SBDC in Rome Gainesville. She has a diverse background with experience in management, human resources, manufacturing, quality assurance and accounting/tax planning. Prior to joining the UGA SBDC, Nora worked for a Fortune 500 manufacturing company, an international software education company, and her own consulting firm. Nora received her undergraduate in Business Administration and MBA in Management from Shorter University.
