The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (UGA SBDC) serves for profit business in Georgia.
The UGA SBDC is a Public Service and Outreach unit of the University of Georgia, funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
The UGA SBDC is accredited through America’s SBDC, an international association of small business development centers.
Our business consultants are equipped to serve for profit businesses in Georgia.
All meetings with UGA SBDC consultants are by appointment. Contact your local office to get started.
If you plan to start a new business, we highly recommend that you participate in our Starting a Business or Writing a Business Plan course prior to meeting with a consultant.
Your local office may request you complete a Business Development Questionnaire prior to your first meeting with a SBDC consultant. The questionnaire will help your consultant understand your business idea and how far along you are in the planning process.
Our business consulting is offered at no cost to business owners in Georgia. Our training courses are offered at a nominal fee.
All programs of the UGA SBDC are open to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance.
