In this session, we will experience a deep dive into the methodologies available for risk, spend, and tariff mitigation, with a special focus on Foreign-Trade Zones, with the ultimate goal of achieving sustainability and resilience in your import and export operations, logistics, procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain. This workshop will allow the audience to participate, comment, and ask questions throughout.
The subject matter expert is a seasoned expert on spend and risk management in the global supply chain, and is an author of 21 books on global trade.

Darrel Hulsey, Director of the UGA SBDC International Trade Center, previously worked for a large commercial bank serving in various lending and management positions. He also has experience as an independent financial consultant performing acquisition/merger, loan portfolio and credit system analysis for banks. Darrel works extensively in the following areas: international trade financing, trade risk mitigation, loan proposal preparation, financial analysis, business evaluations and alternative financing. He is a Certified Global Business Professional.

Tom is Managing Director of Blue Tiger International (bluetigerintl.com), a premier international business consulting company on supply chain management, trade compliance, purchasing, trade and disruption management, global business, and logistics. Tom has over 35 years of experience in assisting companies all over the world manage their supply chains, operations, executive responsibilities, and import and export operations.
Tom is a long-term instructor and program writer for the American Management Association in NYC and has worked as a Professor at Baruch College, FIT, and Stony Brook University.
He has written 21 books on global trade, the latest entitled Managing and Mitigating the Impact of Tariffs, Pandemics, and Trade Disruptions in the Global Supply Chain.
