Reggie A. Taylor, EDFP, is the area director for the DeKalb office.
Reggie is a seasoned economic development and business strategy leader with more than 15 years of experience driving small business growth and managing high-impact investment initiatives. Before joining the UGA SBDC, he served as the Georgia State Director for USDA Rural Development, leading statewide lending operations and overseeing strategic community development and business investments. Reggie has a strong track record in improving operational efficiency, strengthening compliance systems, and building partnerships with financial institutions, chambers, and economic development organizations.
He previously held leadership roles with the City of East Point, City of Marietta Redevelopment Corporation and the Illinois Department of Commerce, advancing entrepreneurship programs and small business services. Reggie holds a Master’s in Business Management, a Bachelor’s in Urban Planning & Public Administration, and credentials as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP).

The UGA SBDC is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
