This course is designed specifically for small business owners and entrepreneurs seeking to understand and access various funding options.
The course will discuss the ins and outs of the different types of capital, including SBA-guaranteed loans, traditional bank loans, non-traditional funding sources, equity, and little-known specialty lending programs, and weigh the pros and cons of each.
The course will also highlight the financial management strategies that help owners think like a lender and ensure their business is lender-ready.

Julie Mixon Ferguson is a Business Advisor at the UGA SBDC in Columbus. She brings more than 20 years of communications, management, and marketing experience to her role.
Prior to joining the SBDC, Julie spent 15 years working for both The Gillette Company and Procter and Gamble. She has presented educational presentations to professionals in trade shows across the country on topics such as business development and strategic planning to effective brand management and social media marketing.
Her extensive business and educational background, as well as her own experience as an entrepreneur, enables her to help Georgia small businesses succeed.
